FAQ

Does ODMS have a minimum page count requirement?

Yes! Our minimum page quantity is at least 1 panel. We love the challenge of telling a story in just one panel or across 20! We do not have a limit on project size.

What Genres Does ODMS work in?

We create illustrations for all genres, from children’s books to action packed graphic novels for older audiences.

Are there types of content ODMS will not work on?

We look for projects that have a positive impact on those engaging with the content.  We avoid content that promotes gratuitous violence, sex, and crude behavior. We realize there maybe exceptions to those rules, but in general we try to keep it Rated G or PG.

Does ODMS Provide Script Writing Support?

Yes, we do! Many times, clients come to us with ideas that need a little extra refinement. We’re happy to share our input and industry best practices to help make your project the best it can be.

Can ODMS Match the art style I'm looking for?

One of the marks of a great artist is in their ability to replicate different art styles. At ODMS, we love exploring different art styles from Charles Schulz classic peanuts style, to Bill Watterson’s distinct style for Calvin and Hobbes. Our network of artists is broad, so there is a good chance we can gather a team to achieve the look you are going for.

Who owns the copyrights to work created by ODMS?

Typically, copyrights are transferred in writing to the client after final payment is made. However, there may be times when copyrights are limited, depending on the business arrangement. Be sure to address copyrights whenever engaging the services of any creative agency.

How Much Does a Comic Cost to Create?

The total cost will depend on the amount of time required to complete each illustration. Factors that add to the time needed include Character Designs, Background Designs, Comic Layout, Number of Colors, Shading, Lighting Effects, and Complexity of Design. If you already have your characters designed, that will save a lot of time. If your budget is limited, we recommend keeping your illustrations as simple as possible while still being engaging to your audience.
